Our private charters include the rental of the boat and all crew (captain, deckhands, bartenders). Rates are based on cruise lengths listed for that time slot. If your event requires more or less time, we can work with you to make that happen. Catering and bar packages are offered for an additional fee. Gratuities for your crew are not included. Please contact us to customize the perfect package for you!

No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted anywhere on our vessels.

Yes, we welcome your entire family on any cruise that is not marked “adults only” or has an age restriction. Each vessel carries both child and adult life vests as per US Coast Guard regulations. Please note that while babies are allowed on board, we do not have specific life vests for infants. We ask that the ratio of adults to children be kept at one to five and that all parents and guardians keep a close eye on their children and do not leave them unattended at any time. Please see our Family Friendly Cruises tab for fun options that cater to families with children.
-
Infants under the age of 3 can join you for free. You are required, however, to book them an infant ticket at checkout. This ticket has no cost but ensures that we have your baby accounted for on our manifest.
-
Our cruises are outside and on the water. As such, please dress appropriately for the weather of the day. And remember, it is always about 10 degrees fahrenheit cooler on the water than it is on land.
-
Our cruises operate rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. That being said, our vessels do have covered areas to get you out of the rain. If the weather turns stormy, the captain may decide to cancel the trip for safety reasons. If this happens, you will be notified and given the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund. If you have not been contacted, assume that the trip is going. The final decision to cruise is with us. If, due to weather, you decide not to join us for a cruise that is going out and for which you have purchased tickets, your ticket or charter is not refundable.

We ask that all passengers arrive at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time and check in at our booth on the Canalside boardwalk where you will receive your boarding pass. We start boarding our vessels 15 minutes before departure time. Our cruises leave on time. Don’t miss the boat!
-
Yes, you can! We love to host small wedding ceremonies and receptions. Captains are not able to legally marry you, but we can recommend an official who can.
-
Yes, each vessel has a bathroom. Spirit of Buffalo’s bathroom is below deck accessible by stairs.
-
Big Kahuna and Harbor Queen are wheelchair friendly. There is an accessible gangway from the boardwalk to the dock and ramps to embark on the boats. Please note that the marine bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible but there is space to wheel up to the bathroom doors. We have a wheelchair in our booth to borrow for those who would like extra help getting to the boats. Because the top deck of Spirit of Buffalo is sloped and the bathroom is down a narrow flight of stairs, Spirit is not wheelchair accessible.
-
No outside food or beverages can be brought onboard. Each boat has a bar with a friendly bartender offering non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and bagged snacks for purchase!
-
Service animals are allowed. Under ADA guidelines, a service animal is defined as “a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability.” The USCG does not recognize Emotional Support animals. We love pets, but they are not allowed on board to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.

We advise that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure you have plenty of time to park and walk to our booth. There is limited parking available on Prime Street, several paid parking lots nearby, and a parking ramp at Lecom Harborcenter, 100 Washington St.
-
Our boats are docked at Central Wharf at Canalside, 44 Prime St, Buffalo NY 14202. Find our booth on the boardwalk close to the brown, wooden Longshed building.
-
Cancellations for public sails must be made at least 24 hours prior to cruise time in order to receive a refund or to be rescheduled onto another cruise. There are no refunds the day of the event. The deposit for charters is non-refundable if not cancelled at least 30 days prior to your event.
-
Cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Unpaid charter balances, if paid within 7 days of event, must be paid by cash or credit card.
-
There is no tax on transportation
